What started in 1985 as a humble family aquaculture company with a single seawater site in Atlantic Canada has grown into a global seafood leader with fully-integrated facilities, product lines and distribution networks.
Cooke has gone from strength to strength, growing organically as well as through a series of strategic acquisitions in North America, Latin America and Europe.
A year later Cooke Aquaculture Scotland strengthened its Scottish operations with the acquisition of salmon farming operations in Yell, Shetland.
More recently, Cooke established an in-house feed division – Northeast Nutrition Scotland – in the Scottish highlands, as part of its strategy of vertical integration and quality control at every stage of the salmon farming process.
Today, Cooke produces some of the very best seafood in the world.
